I bought a Gendan elm based interface earlier this year and have a cheaper Chinese unit too.
Program Alfadiag Software Helps ThemIm sure plenty of people would be willing to donate a little if your software helps them to trace a fault with their car (I know I would.).No matter what software - you will need to modify your KKL interface to do this. ![]() Saying that the interface in this new software is excellent, maybe you could look at taking the data from some of the unidiagkwp71 definition files and adding them into your program yani. Brilliant Need to get to the bottom of this airbag fault ASAP. By merging the pins, will it not affect any other functionality When i search for SanderQV it often refers to Unidiag. Join the unidiag group on yahoo (its been mentioned on here a few times). Merging the pins together shouldnt cause you problems as the control units attached to each pins have different addresses so you wont get conflicts when they are initialised. Also, speaking about airbags - they use another protocol for communication, so I need to implement it first. Just bought a cable but no luck with my JTD (non OBD compliant). Not sure if this is due to a non supported ECU but the Gendan software works fine on mine. I know Johnson550 has had it going with his mjet sporting, not a non-eobd compliant JTD granted. Make sure the plug is all the way in as well, as the quality of these devices is often a little flaky. Program Alfadiag Serial Side IsTo test the serial side is working okay connect the interface to the car, open hyperterminal (at any speed) and if the device is powered when you will get the characters echoing back. Bridging the pins lets me connect for a brief second before the software says Reconnecting, and at the same moment, the car comes up with ABS, EBD, ASR failure until i unplug the interface. Unidiag works fine straight away but the scaling is well out. Ive cable, picked right com the msg is saying connecting to ecu - in bttm left corner its sayin connecting.
